Late Friday afternoon, an investigative journalist contacts your communications team with documented evidence that your Chief Revenue Officer has been involved in a pattern of inappropriate conduct toward junior employees over the past three years. The story will run Monday morning. Three of the four named victims are willing to speak on the record, the board chair is on a flight and unreachable for six hours, and your largest customer — representing 18% of ARR — has a values clause in their MSA.
